Randy, good for you! I also encourage my students to use "Google Research" in tandem with Wiki: by copying a Wiki source into Google Research, they will get a summary (abstract) about that article, as well as a "cited" tab listing all peer-reviewed articles which have cited the article (something not found on most academic databases). This shows students the on-going "conversation" which an article has triggered.
